Rev. Dr. Daniel M. Bell, Jr.

Associate Professor of Theological Ethics

Professor Bell is an ordained Elder in The United Methodist Church.  A graduate of Stetson University, he earned the Master of Divinity degree from Duke Divinity School and the Doctor of Philosophy degree (in theology and ethics) from Duke University.

His primary teaching and research interests lie in the political and economic forms of the Christian  faith and life.

He is the author of numerous publications, including Liberation Theology After the End of History, which appears in Routledge’s Radical Orthodoxy series.  He is currently working on a book on just war and his next project is a theological account of justice.

Prior to joining the faculty at LTSS, he taught religion and philosophy at several undergraduate institutions.
